The applicant requests relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County
Zoning Ordinance to allow a storage building to be located 16 feet from
the front property line; a variance of 59 feet.
Zoning Ordinance Requirement
Pursuant to Section 10.4, all structures shall be located a minimum of
75 feet from the front property line.
Staff Comments
The topography of the property is such that the storage building would
have to be located in the front portion of the property. There are
locations where the structure could be built, but in all situations
it would be on a slight grade (elevation) .
