Burton Tax Map: 114 Parcel: 6D1 Zoned: RA, Rural Areas Existing Activity Single family dwelling & 2 storage buildings Proposed Variance The applicant requests relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance to allow a detached garage to be located 56 feet from the right-of-way; a variance of 19 feet. Zoning Ordinance Requirement Pursuant to Section 10.4, all structures shall be located a minimum of 75 feet from the right-of-way. Staff Comments There are existing posts set in concrete, where the construction of the carport has been started. The topography is such that the carport could be constructed at a location to meet the required setback.
