William & Nancy Letteri Tax Map: 61A Parcel: 03-23 Zone: R-4 Existing Activity Single Family Dwelling Proposed Variance The applicant requests relief from Section 15.3 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance to allow an addition to a single family dwelling to be located 12 feet from the rear property line; a variance of 8 feet. Zoning Ordinance Requirement Pursuant to Section 15.3, a minimum rear setback of 20 feet is required. Staff Comments The proposed addition will be added to the rear of the existing house that* is the greatest distance from the rear portion of lot. The rear yard offers limited space for any addition. We do not find that an addition should be any deterrent to the adjacent property. 3
