On October 11, 1983, the Board of Zoning Appeals approved VA-83-72,
for Gleco Mills, Inc. as submitted. Please see the action letter dated
October 12, 1983 for the specific variances that were approved.
Mr. Smith made a motion that these variances be granted. Mr. Van Fossen
seconded the motion. The role was called that the application be approved as
submitted.

Dear Mr. Marshall:
This letter is to inform you that on October 11, 1983, during the regular
meeting of the Albemarle County Board of Zoning Appeals, your application for
VA-83-72 was approved. This variance approval allows relief from Sections
27.3, 26.9, 26.10.1, 26.10.2, and 26.13 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance,
as follows:

(1) Allows relief from Section 27.3 to allow a LI (Light Industry)
Zone to have 1.8 acres, a variance of 3.2 acres
(2) Allows relief from Section 26.9 for a LI district to have a
minimum landscaped area of 10 percent of total land area, a
variance of 20 percent.
(3) Allows relief from Section 26.10.1 to allow an existing
building to be within 30 feet of a Highway Department right- i
of-way, a variance of 20 feet.
(4) Allows relief from Section 26.10.2 to allow an existing
building to be within three (3) feet of an adjoining property
zoned RA, a variance of forty-seven (47) feet.
(5) Allows relief from Section 26.13 to allow an existing building
to be located within six (6) feet of a property line to remain
as is, and not to be made to have a three (3) hour fire separation
along the exterior wall adjoining the near property line in
accordance with Table 502 Fire Grading of Use Groups of the
BOCA Uniform Statewide Building Code.

Pursuant to Section 35.0 of the Zoning Ordinance, the actual costs of
any notice required under the code shall be taxed to the applicant, to the
extent that the same shall exceed the applicable fee set forth in this
section. Failure to pay all applicable fees shall constitute grounds for
the denial of any application. Please see the attached bill for the amount !'
due of $31.34.
