RE: ARB-2016-126 Flow Auto Audi Showroom
Thank you for your comments dated November 7,2016 on the Flow Auto Audi Showroom ARB
application. Revised plans are hereby submitted incorporating the following changes in response
to the items in your.letter.
1. Building Design addressed with new renderings and architectural elevations. -
2. Addressed with Architect submittal on the building glass.
3. Additional information has been incorporated with the site design to tie-in the building to
the site elements and historic architecture of the area. See the attached site plan for
further details. Details include the landscaping along the entrance coridor,the proposed
brick wall along the front of the parking lot display area,the landscaped areas and grass
plaza/sitting,area, and the pervious pavers matching the color of the showroom floor tile.
4. The standard mechanical equipment visibility note has been added to the site plan sheet
as a note. The note was also added to.the architectural plans.
5. The lightingplan has been updated to make sure all the areas are visible. Also, a project
limit area has been added to the plan to show the area of work for the proposed building
and parking,lot modifications.
6. The lighting fc have been updated so that all of them are legible. In addition,new °
readings were taken on the site lighting and the plan has been updated with the new
readings, as well as incorporating the proposed fc's from the relocated fixtures. The
attached lighting plan updates all of these fc's for the site.
7. All the sheets, including the lighting plan and landscaping plan, have been updated to
show what elements are existing and are to remain, and what elements are being removed
and/or relocated on the site.
8. The notes and landscaping design have been updated to clearly show the existing
landscaping on the property and the landscaping that is either being removed or replaced.
9. An additional ornamental tree has been added along the EC.
10. The landscaping plan has been updated to label the existing plants and remove them from
the proposed landscaping chart:
11. The landscaping.plan has,been updated as requested, and the overlapping symbols have
been fixed.
12. One additional perimeter parking lot tree along the southern row of parking has been
added to the landscaping plan.
13. The landscaping plan has been updated to add more of a mixture of landscaping for any
of the proposed landscaping to be replaced.
14. The landscaping plan has been updated to reflect the proposed landscaping for the
courtyards and the plaza areas.,
15. The notes and design of the existing landscaping to remain and the landscaping to be
replaced has been coordinated on the plan.

Thanks for sending over the Action Letter dated November 11, 2016, and work session notes
dated December 9 h. Please find our responses below:
In response to preliminary review notes dated November 11th 2016:
1. The building design was revised so that the metal mesh was eliminated from the
exterior, substituted with glass storefront and mottled brick. The white brick was
replaced with mottled brick.
2. The standard window glass note was added below architectural elevations on page 5
of ARB booklet.
3. Refer to landscaping plan by Collins Engineering for details on landscaping
appearance.*
4. Mechanical equipment note was added to Collins Engineering site plan drawings, as
well as architectural plans on page 5 of ARB booklet.

15. Existing landscape to remain and existing landscape to be replaced have been
reflected in the updated plan from Collins Engineering.*

In response to ARB work session notes dated December 5th 2016:
1. The design of the building was updated to reflect the Architectural Review Board's
preference. The metal mesh was eliminated from the exterior elevations, and
replaced with more glass storefront and mottled brick. This change is shown in ARB

2. The previously proposed all white brick has been replaced with mottled brick. This
change is shown in ARB booklet renders. A physical sample of the brick will be
provided at the ARB meeting.
3. The planting area between the front parking area and the western retaining wall has
been maintained. Refer to Collins Engineering plans for existing plan and new
landscaping plan.
4. New trees have been added to landscape as the base of retaining wall to soften the
edge as requested. See landscape plans from Collins Engineering.
