Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
This letter is to notify you, as adjoining property owners, that Bruce
and Polly Hogshead, are applicants for the following three requests:
1. Scottsville Shopping Center, Owner, property described as Tax Map
130A1, Parcel 63, located on NW corner of intersection of Rt. 6
and Rt. 726, Zoned PD-SC. The applicant requests relief from
Section 30.5.2.2 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance to allow
a 2 square foot directional sign to be located 8 feet from Rt. 6
right-of-way, a variance of 42 feet; and also relief from Section
21.7.1 to be located 10 feet from Rt. 726 right-of-way, a variance
of 20 feet.
2. National Bank & Trust Co. , Owner, property described as Tax Map
130A1, Parcel 50, located on SW corner of intersection of Rt. 20
& Rt. 726, Zoned PD-SC. The applicant requests relief from Section
30.5.2.2 to allow a 2 square foot directional sign to be located
9 feet from Rt. 20 right-of-way, a variance of 41 feet; and also
relief from Section 21.7.1 to be located 10 feet from Rt. 726, a
variance of 20 feet.
3. Hogshead, Polly, owner, property described as Tax Map 130A1, Parcel
70, located on southwest corner of intersection of Rt. 6 & Rt. 20,
Zoned C-1. The applicant requests relief from Section 30.5.2.2 to
allow a location sign to be located 13 feet from Rt. 6 right-of-way,
a variance of 37 feet; and also relief from Section 30.5.2.2 for
the sign to be located 30 feet from Rt. 20 right-of-way, a variance
of 20 feet.
