Dear Mr. Evans:
This letter is to inform you that on September 11 , 1984 ,
during the regular meeting of the-Albemarle County Board of
Zoning Appeals, your application for VA-84-58 was approved as
submitted with the conditions that the identification s' gn to
be l'mited to 5 ' x 8 ' , and for the two direction..' signs the
setback variance requested be approved subject to the signs
complying with the ordinance requirerer of four square feet
for both signs #2 & #3 , and on the condition that the U-Store-
t be removed.
This variance approval allows relief from Section 21 . 7 . 1
of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance to allow the following:
(1 ) a business sign to be located at main entrance 15 foot fro-1
the right-of-way , a variance of 15 feet ; (2 ) ;or directional sign
to be located 15 feet from right-of-way of Rio Road, a variance
of 15 feet ; and (3) information sign to be located 10 feet from
right-of-way of Berkmar Drive , a variance of 20 beet . This also
allows relief from Section 4 . 15 . 3 . 7 to allow thrco freestanding
signs , a variance of one sign.
Pursuant to Section 35 .0 of the Albemarle County Zoning
Ordinance , the actual costs of any notice required under the
'coca
shall be taxed to the applicant , to .,h extent thatsale shall
exceed the applicable fee set forth in this coction . Please see
the attached bill for the amount due of $15 . 72 .
