Let's see what the comments are, then decide. A full material board won't necessarily be needed, but the ARB indicated that the proposed wood was too dark, so we'll at least need revised wood sample(s). They indicated that staff could handle the review, but they had a few concerns that need to be addressed. I've listed those items below. I still need to complete my review, so there will likely be additional comments to address, but I wanted to get you the ARB's comments so you could begin considering them. Margaret ARB 5/6/19 action on ARB-2019-46: Target Signs **W After considering the proposed Target signs and material changes, it was the consensus of the ARB that the application could be reviewed by staff but: 1. The proposed wood is inconsistent with the existing design. The color is too dark; a lighter shade is required. 2. The wood should be used consistently for the towers on the east side of the building, including the north and south sides of the end towers. 3. The wood should fill the recessed area of the towers. Applicants make brief presentations (it does not need to be a PowerPoint) and should be ready to answer questions. It usually works best when the applicant's presentation is focused on the staff recommendations (from the staff report) that the applicant is unwilling or unable to comply with. On Monday, I am going to double-check with the ARB chair how he would like this application processed. So please just sit tight until then and I'll let you know if anything else is required. Thanks.
