Ideally, your application package should consist of three site plan However, application submission still has not been pared down to drawings (in addition to the building elevations you provided): essentials as suggested in previous review. a. This should include a schedule that explains exactly what fixtures will be removed and not replaced and what fixtures will be replaced. b. A Landscape Plan that shows proposed landscaping as well as current landscaping. This plan should also include all of the existing and proposed freestanding light poles on the site. c. A Lighting Plan that shows existing and proposed light fixtures; if the plan becomes too complicated to read, you may omit those light fixtures that are either outside of the scope of work and/or that will be removed and not replaced (those should be shown on the Current Conditions and Demolition Plan). Ensure that all of the current and proposed wall -mounted lights are OK drawn on the elevations visible from the Entrance Corridor street (i.e., the south, west, and east elevations. The north elevation is not visible from Rio Road and therefore does not require ARB review). Note that the color of the poles of the two proposed new freestanding OK, all new lights are stated as bronze in the luminaire schedule on lights has not been stated in the luminaire schedule or in E3.01 manufacturer's specifications and that the new poles must match the color of the existing light poles on the site. Note that all proposed species should be selected from the Albemarle County Recommended Plants List; canopy calculations can be attained using this Plant Canopy Calculations reference sheet. Shrubs and trees shall be pruned minimally and only to support the overall health of the plant. There is spillover along the Rio Road frontage in excess of half (0.5) OK, no spillover in excess of 0.5 fc on west, south, or east property footcandle (fc). As per the Zoning Ordinance Chapter 18, Section lines. Please revise the proposal and plan accordingly. Provide a luminaire schedule on a revised lighting plan (i.e., ensure OK, done. Luminaire schedule on E3.01 that the schedule is on the same page as the photometric plan). Provide the Maintenance Factor (LLF) as a category to the luminaire OK, luminaire schedule on E3.01 has an LLF of 1.0 listed schedule. Note that the LLF must equal 1.0 and that the photometric calculations must reflect an LLF equal to 1.0. The two new proposed poles are listed as 25 feet AFG. Reduce this to 20 feet inclusive of the base. Add the standard lighting note to the plan: Each outdoor luminaire OK, note provided on E2.01 and E3.01 equipped with a lamp that emits 3, 000 or more initial lumens shall be a full cutoff luminaire and shall be arranged or shielded to reflect light away from adjoining residential districts and away from adjacent roads. The spillover of lighting from luminaires onto public roads and property in residential or rural areas zoning districts shall not exceed one-halffootcandle. Neither your ARB nor LOR applications mentioned the dumpster, and OK, all provided so I was confused about where this process lay. I believe I have my bearings now. To include the location of the dumpster in this LOR, you will need to further revise the site plan drawings to show and label: a. The dumpster (concrete) pad and dimensions b. The dumpster's footprint and dimensions c. A detail (elevation) of the dumpster enclosure as visible from the Entrance Corridor (specify the material and color, as well, please). comments sent by email 2/26/19 1. There is a discrepancy between the quantity of HE listed in the luminaire schedule on E3.01 (6) and those shown on the plan on E3.01 (5) and a discrepancy between the quantity of HK1 listed in the luminaire schedule on E3.01 (1) and those shown on the plan on E3.01 (2). Rectify. 2. The Kelvins or color temperatures for models HE 1 and HE2 are not specified in the catalog numbers provided in the luminaire schedule on E3.01. All other lights are 40k; these should be the same. Specify. 3. Manufacturer's specifications were not provided for models HE 1 and HE2. Provide. 4. Eliminate C 1.00 5. If C1.01 is existing, it needs to show ALL existing landscaping and site features as the site exists today, 6113119; where is the proposed demolition on C1.01? 6. Please revise C1.20 to show the shrubbery that is in their places; differentiate on the same plan what is existing as of today and what is proposed. 7. There is a discrepancy between the parking on the site as it exists today and what was approved. I have amended C 1.10 (see attached) and also provided two of my photographs of the site (see IMG_4560 and _4572). The first is of the three parking spaces in the northeast corner of the site, for which the approved plan shows four. Please delete this space and show this area as having three parking spaces and additional landscaping area. Secondly, the parking on the west property line has been enlarged from 5 spaces to 7 spaces. Show these on the plan. Again, this plan needs to show all of the site changes since it was approved in 1996 + proposed changes now. 8. There are two shrubs on the east property line, south of the three parking spaces in the NE corner; I do not believe they are hemlocks, and so this needs to be revised on C 1.10. 9. The site has lost three canopy trees with the removal of the three crapemyrtles around the building. Please provide three shade trees in addition to the hemlocks that you propose to replace. 10. please take detail 1 (Pole Base Detail) and the luminaire schedule from E0.01 and add them to E2.01; 11. Sheet E2.01 is still showing, on the illustration, models R1 through R3, yet these are not named in the luminaire schedule. If we have previously decided that no alterations are happening to these fixtures and they are outside of the scope of work — and if they have been therefore been removed from the luminaire schedule — remove them from the plan as well.
