Please find our responses to the comments below in bold lettering. 1. A marked crosswalk does not appear to be warranted at the Lewis & Clark Drive entrance and should be removed. The Department will not maintain unwarranted marked crosswalks. The crosswalk at the Lewis and Clark Drive entrance has been removed. 2. CG-12 at the entrance should be angled perpendicular to the crossing street, not at 45 degrees as proposed. In response to comment # 2 of the Road Plan review regarding the CG-12 ramps at the intersection of Loop Road and Innovation drive being at a skew, we believe that the current design is in compliances with ADA "Advisory 405.7 Landings" and ADA "Advisory 406.6 Diagonal Curb Ramps". Landings should be perpendicular to the path of travel to allow for more acceptable cross slopes for ADA access. The ramp must come down perpendicular to the gutter pan/ flow line so that the pedestrian does not need to traverse the slope of the gutter at an angle. Providing a landing before the gutter pan would require the ADA ramps to extend back to the north and South as much as 10' which would make it difficult to tie the current and future sidewalk from the west into the top of the ramp. 3. It is assumed that the proposed street is intended to be private; please clearly indicate this on plans. The proposed street is private and has now been labeled accordingly.
