Yes _ No _ Acreage if different EXISTING USE Elementary School PROPOSED USE Same ORDINANCE SECTION(S): 4.12.6.6.2 DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: The Albemarle County School Board requests that the portion of the zoning ordinance that requires one off-street parking space for every five elementary students be waived. JUSTIFICATION FOR REQUEST: The new Meriwether Lewis Elementary School will house approximately 600 students in grades K-5. These students will not need parking spaces because they won't be driving to school. The site plan provides adequate parking spaces for approximately forty-four staff members, four people with handicaps, and ten additional spaces for people who need to conduct business at the school. Fifty-eight spaces will meet the normal needs of this elementary school. • The foregoing information is complete and correct to the best of my knowledge. I have read and understand the provisions of the Albemarle County VA-87-9 . Albemarle County School Board (owner) , property known as tax map 58 , parcel 69 , located at the intersection of Rt . 676 and Rt . 678 , zoned RA.
