Regarding: The Covenant School- Major Amendment (TM 90-A P 2)
Responses to comments from County Staff
With this memo, we are responding to the comments that were directed to our office following the
review of our site plan for a new recreation area at The Covenant School. The comments were
received in written format and dated March 12, 2019. I have attached this response memorandum
to four(4) revised full-sized copies of the site plan.
Planning-Tori Kanellopoulos
1. Parcel information found in note 4 on C 1.0 has been updated to include applicable
overlay districts.
2. A photocopy of special use permit SP1999-54 has been added to sheet C 1.1.
3. The dam break inundation zone limits have been added to the site plan sheets.
4. The square footage of the proposed recreation land use area has been added to note 6 on
C 1.0.
5. See L1.0 for the proposed landscape plan and L2.0 for the proposed landscape details
sheet.
6. There is no site lighting proposed with this site plan amendment.
7. All proposed utilities on the site plan, C5.0, have been labeled as either public or private.
8. Signature lines for Albemarle County Engineering and VDOT have been added to the
signature block on the cover sheet.
Engineering- Matt Wentland
1. This comment has been acknowledged.
2. Note 14 on C 1.0 has been updated to reference SDP 02-29.
3. Spot elevations for the retaining walls can be found on C5.0 and additional details about the
retaining walls can be found on S 1.0 and S2.0.

1. The proposed roadway is not to be used as a access road and shall only serve
maintenance equipment.
Inspections-Michael Dellinger
1. Please see general note 12 j. which has been added to satisfy this comment.
2. Please see general note 12 k. which has been added to satisfy this comment.
Virginia Department of Transporation-Adam Moore
1. No comments.
Albemarle County Service Authority- Richard Nelson
1. No comments.
