REQUEST OF JOSEPHINE AND KENNETH ROGERS FOR VARIANCE
Description: Construction of a two (2) car, attached garage on the east
side of residenceof the lot described above.
Addition to extend from the corner of house to within ten (10) feet of
the adjacent lot line, as indicated on survey plat.
The construction will be brick facing over frame, to match existing
structure, with exterior dimensions of 30 feet long by 24 feet wide.
Justification: The addition must be on the east side of the existing
structure for the following reasons:
1. On the west side is an existing swimming pool and the the well.
Any building erected on this side would be inclose proximity to both
items (with 25 feet).
Also, any building on this side would detract from the general
appearance of the property and from the neighbouring properties.
2. The location of the septic system and an underground power cable
(delivering electric power to residence) discount the feasibility
of building to the rear or south side of the existing structure.
3. The topography of the remaining property does not lend itself to
the erection of a useful or accessible building that would provide
a pleasing appearance in the surrounding neighbourhood.
This addition, if placed as requested, will improve the aesthetic
appearance of this home in the neighbourhood, without disturbing or
interfering with any adjacent or opposite neighbours.
