The Albemarle County Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public
hearing on Tuesday, January 12 , 1988, at 3 : 00 p.m. , in Meeting
Room #7, Second Floor, County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road,
Charlottesville, VA to consider the following:
VA-87-75. Seville Associates (owner) , property known as tax map
78, parcel 60A , located southeast of the intersection of Rt. 250
east and Interstate 64, zoned HC. The applicant seeks a variance
from sections 4 . 12 . 7 .2 and 21.7 of the Albemarle County Zoning
Ordinance to reduce the number of loading spaces required for a
new commerical structure from eight (8) to zero (0) , to reduce the
setback from a public street from seventy-four (74) feet to five
(5) feet, to reduce the setback from an adjacent Rural Areas
District from ninety-four (94) feet to zero (0) feet and to reduce
the buffer area required adjacent to a Rural Areas District from
twenty (20) feet to zero (0) feet.
VA-87-81. Keith O. Woodward (owner) , property known as tax map
31, parcel 14D, located on the west side of Rt. 660, +/- . 1 miles
south of its intersection with Rt. 743 , zoned RA. The applicant
seeks a variance from section 3 . 0 of the Albemarle County Zoning
Ordinance to allow a subdivision sign to be illuminated.
VA-87-82 . Mary Jane Divine (owner) , property known as tax map 58 ,
parcel 52A, located on the east side of Route 676, +/- . 2 miles
north of its intersection with Route 250, zoned RA. The applicant
seeks a variance from Section 6. 5. 01 of the Albemarle County
Zoning Ordinance to reduce the side yard setback from twenty-five
(25) feet to twelve (12) feet to allow construction of an addition
to a dwelling.
VA-87-83 . Colonnade Associates (owner) , property known as tax map
60, parcel 40C1, located on the southwest corner of Route 250 and
Colonnade Drive, zoned HC. The applicant seeks a variance from
Sections 21.7 and 30. 5. 6. 2 . 1 of the Albemarle County Zoning
Ordinance to reduce the setback from a public street from
forty-four (44) feet to thirty-five (35) feet, to reduce the
setback from an adjacent Residential District from sixty-four (64)
feet to fifty (50) feet, and to reduce the setback in the Scenic
Areas-Highway Overlay District from one hundred sixty-four (164)
feet to one hundred fifty-five (155) feet to allow construction of
an office building.
VA-87-84 . Grady A. Hubbard (owner) , property known as tax map 60C,
parcels D1 and D1A, located at 100 Cavalier Drive in the Colthurst
Farm Subdivision, zoned RA. The applicant seeks a variance from
Sections 4. 6. 3 .2 and 10.4 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance
to reduce the side yard setback from sixty (60) feet to fifty (50)
feet and to reduce the minimum lot size from two (2) acres to one
and five-tenths (1. 5) acres to allow construction of a single
family dwelling.
VA-87-85. HCMF Partnership (owner) property known as tax map 45,
parcel 26C, located on the south side of Route 631, +/- . 1 miles
west of its intersection with Route 659, zoned R-6. The applicant
seeks a variance from Section 4 . 15. 3 .4 of the Albemarle County
Zoning Ordinance to increase the allowable area of an
identification sign from two (2) square feet to eighteen (18)
square feet.
VA-87-86. Ray C. Beard (owner) , property known as tax map 32 ,
parcel 22I, located on the west side of Route 29, +/- . 9 miles
north of its intersection with Route 649, zoned R-4 and LI . The
applicant seeks a variance from Section 4 . 1. 2 of the Albemarle
County Zoning Ordinance to reduce the parcel area per dwelling
unit from forty thousand (40, 000) square feet to six thousand one
hundred seventy-five (6175) square feet to allow expansion of a
mobile home park.
