community identification sign of 400 square feet.

JUSTIFICATION FOR REQUEST: Albemarle County sign o-rdiaance does not permit needed
identification sianaae for a 715 acre planned develonment. This variance is
needed to enable the developer to implement the homeowners' covenants and
restrictions containing restrictive community sign controls. The signage plan
must interface with the elaborate landscape plan.

tax map 46, parcel 29D, located on the east side of Rt. 29, +/-
.3 miles south of its intersection with Rt. 649, zoned HC. The
applicant seeks a variance from Section 4.15.3.7 of the Albemarle
County Zoning Ordinance to increase the size of a location sign
from the maximum allowable area of one hundred (100) square feet
to four hundred (400) square feet.
