Dear Mr. Thraves:
This letter is to inform you that on August 23 , 1988 during
a special meeting of the Albemarle County Board of Zoning
Appeals, your application for VA-88-55 was approved subject
to the conditions that the variance be granted only for a four (4)
year period and that the location of the mobile home be approved
by the Zoning Administrator.
This variance approval allows relief from Section 5.8 of
the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance to allow permanent use
of a mobile home as a classroom.

ACREAGE: 5 acres
LOCATION: On the south side of Rt. 20, +/- . 1 miles east
of its intersection with Route 600
The applicant seeks a variance from Section 5. 8 of the Albemarle
County Zoning Ordinance, which states:
"5.8 Temporary Nonresidential Mobile Homes
A temporary nonresidential mobile home may be authorized by
the Zoning Administrator provided the mobile home is used
to house a planned permanent use and the applicant has
received site plan approval for such permanent use on the
same site . . . . "
The applicant proposes to use one (1) mobile home as a temporary
classroom at Stoney Point Elementary School. The additional
classroom space is needed based on projected enrollment increases.
RECOMMENDATION
The application should be approved subject to the following:
1) that the variance be granted for a period not to exceed
four (4) years.
2) that the location of the mobile home$ be approved by the
Zoning Administrator
