RECOMMENDATION The following recommendation is made: Parking requirements for school facilities are not based on criteria for commercial, office, or other uses. Being that this request is for an elementary school the need for parking is to accommodate only school faculty, optional employees, and visitors. The hardship has unique attributes. The granting of the variance should not be of any detriment to the adjacent properties and the granting of the variance should not change the character of the district. The variance should be approved with the following condition: (A) That the applicant prepare the area designated (future parking) on the preliminary site plan to accommodate the overall participation of any function held on the school property.
