Stephen Rice, Thomas Jefferson Health Department Investigation: 3/1/89 Reference Property: OWNER: Anthony and Charles Dunivan TAX MAP/PARCEL: 45/56 ACREAGE: 2.7 Acres ZONING: Rural Areas (RA) LOCATION: West side of Route 643, ± .7 miles south of Rt. 743 Four holes were drilled on this tract of land to determine suitability for drainfield for the purpose of dividing into two tracts with one dwelling on each. Holes 1, 2, and 3 on the rear portion of the property are not suitable for drain- field. The area around hole #4 (approx. 65' ± x 120' ±) appears to be suitable for drainfield for the two bedroom dwelling designated as house #1 on the attached drawing. This will entail abandoning the existing well and re-drilling another well else-where on the property. The major drawback to dividing the property, aside from the minimal lot sizes is the fact that house #2 will have no area to install a septic system on the remaining acreage. It is our feeling that this division defeats the intent to have drainfield sites on both portions, even though there is only one drainfield area for both dwellings, and should be looked at unfavorably.
