Alton Morris, property described as tax map 26, parcel 49, zoned Rural Areas. The applicant seeks a variance from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance to reduce the lot frontage on a public road from the required measurement of two hundred fifty (250) feet to one hundred fifty (150) feet to allow division of the property. (See the attached copy of the staff report. ) Rosalie Morris, property owner, stated that they wanted to give each of their children a lot. She stated that this property had limited road frontage because of the septic lines. Mrs. Huckle asked if the property came out to the highway? Mrs. Morris stated that it did not because of the septic lines. Mrs. Huckle stated that would be an internal road since it did not come all the way out to the highway. The Chairman invited public comment. Mr. Van Fossen made a motion to defer the application for 60 days in order for the applicant to try to work out the problem.
