I have comments for both and Glenn still has outstanding comments for Sunbelt. Please contact Glenn on comment #2 since the ordinance sections have changed. You may need to sit down with him to go over some comments. I know it has been a while on this, but let us see if we can finally get these sites resolved. The new locations of the sheds need to be shown. 2. One of the sheds seems to encroach on the 20' access aisle in the rear of the building. Please correct so that there is adequate travelway in the rear. 3. The area of the property that the sheds are located does not represent the existing grading on the site. The correct grading needs to be shown on the property at this location. The sheds are shown to be siting on slopes when in reality they are not. 4. The location of the 12'x24' tool shed is OK but the grading again does not appear to be correct. Also in that area there appears to be some landscaping that has been removed. The white pines need to be replaced per the site plan and the grading corrected. 5. The landscaping is an issue for the zoning violation. The landscaping should be all installed as approved on the plan. There appear to be some site changes that have had the landscaping removed from previous locations. Please add the removed plants to a different location on the plan. Please see me for the locations since it is easier to go over the plan in person than with paper comments. 6. The landscaping schedule should be revised since the count on the plan does not match the numbers in the schedule. There appears to be some species changes in some of the trees. This should be reflected in the schedule as well. So if there are now only 5 red maples and 3 new kinds of trees please note the changes as well as any location changes. Bottom line is that the existing landscaping should be shown correctly and the items that were required originally should be shown or propose alternatives such as types and some locations of plantings, and the schedule should represent the site landscaping. 7. Update the parking calculation for the Halls site only with this plan since we have and amendment for the Sunbelt site in and will address the parking for that site on that plan. _ ypf ALBS, 2 COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE Department of Building Code and Zoning Services 401 McIntire Road,Room 227 Charlottesville,Virginia 22902-4596 FAX(434)972-4126 TELEPHONE(434)296-5832 TTD(434) 972-4012 May 6, 2004 Larry or Barbara Hall 1949 Northside Drive Charlottesville, VA 22911 RE: Board of Zoning Appeals Action VA-2004-007 - Tax Map 32, Parcel 67 Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hall: At their meeting on May 4, 2004, the Board of Zoning Appeals voted 4-1 to deny your variance request to reduce the setback for two storage structures from a residential district from a requirement of 100 feet to 30 feet for one and 40 feet for the other, variances of 70 and 60 feet.
