1. The road name 'Brooke's Lane' is not acceptable. The County does not allow the use of
apostrophes in road names anymore. Please have the road name shown as 'Brookes Lane' on the
future plans before approval will be given. If you have any questions please contact this office
directly. Rev. 1: The applicant should contact this office with a list of three (3) proposed road
names to replace `Brooke Lane'. There is already a `Brook Road' existing and an additional
number of road names that begin with the word `Brook'. Before selecting a road name you
can consult the Road Name Index on our website for road names that are currently located
in Albemarle County. The Road Name Index can be found here:

The County of Albemarle Planning Division will grant or recommend approval of the road plans referenced
above once the following comments have been addressed: [Each comment is preceded by the applicable
reference, which is to the Subdivision/Zoning Ordinances unless otherwise specified.]
5. [14-302(A)(14) & 14-314] Land to be dedicated in fee or reserved; Identification of all interests of the County
in property. Revise the label for the area to be dedicated for Route 743, and for the proposed public road
within the subject parcel, to include the wording "to be dedicated to the County for public use."
Rev. 1: Comment not vet fullv addressed. Revise the label for the Droaosed Dublic road within the
subject parcel, to include the wording "to be dedicated to the County for public use."
6. [14-302(A)(5) & 14-303(L)] Public easements; Public utility, drainage and sight distance easements.
Address the following:
c) Show any proposed drainage easements on road plan and label them as either public or private. There
are multiple drainage areas and facilities that are not contained within the proposed public street right of
way. Public drainage easements are required.
Rev. 1: Comment not yet fully addressed. Address the following:
I. Add the "Public Drainage Easement" label to sheet C4.1 where public stormewater drainaqe
easements are proposed.
ii. It appears that a section of the storm drainage ditch on sheet C4.1 is centered on the
property line between Lots 4 and 5. Expand the proposed drainage easement to include the
portion of the drainage ditch that impacts Lot 4.
8. [14-303(M)] Street names. Work with E911 reviewers to ensure name meets street name criteria.
Rev. 1: Comment not vet fully addressed. Address the E911 comments.
12. [Comment] The road plan to provide labels for the parcels that will be have the sight distance easement
crossing them. These labels should include the tax map parcel number, the owner, and a reference to the
deed book and page number of that created the parcel.
Rev. 1: Comment not vet fully addressed. The deed book and Daae information for TMP 45-59E1
appears to be incorrect. However, that is also the information provided on the County's GIS. For
the Duraose of this road Dian remove the "0/0" but ensure the correct information is provided on the
final plat when submitted.
