Commissioner July 2, 2019 County of Albemarle Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, VA 22902 Attn: Megan Nedostup Re: Galaxie Farm - Zoning Map Amendment ZMA-2018-00012 Review #3 Dear Ms. Nedostup: The Department of Transportation, Charlottesville Residency Transportation and Land Use Section, has reviewed the above referenced plan as submitted by Shimp Engineering, revised 20 May 2019, and offers the following comments: 1. Road B must be curved in to Road C eliminating the intersection. 2. Turn lane warrants will be evaluated at the site plan phase when number of units and trip generations are finalized. 3. Note that the subdivision/road plan must show conformance with the VDOT Road Design Manual Appendices B(l) and F, as well as any other applicable standards, regulations or other requirements. If further information is desired, please contact Justin Deel at 434-422-9894. A VDOT Land Use Permit will be required prior to any work within the right-of-way.
