This letter is to inform you that your variance application,
VA-89-86, will be heard during the public hearing by the Albemarle
County Board of Zoning Appeals on October 17, 1989, at 3 : 00 p.m. ,
Second Floor, County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road,
Charlottesville, Virginia.
Enclosed please find a placard which must be posted on the subject
property so it will be visible from a public road as soon as
possible.
It will be necessary for someone to be present to speak for

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
This letter is to notify you, as adjoining property owners, that
Whiting Oil Company, Inc. (owner) , property described as tax map
60, parcel 40D, zoned HC, has made application for VA-89-86
requesting relief from Sections 30.5.6.2.1 and 30.5.7.2 of the
Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance, as follows:
The applicant requests relief from Sections 30.5.6.2,1
and 30.5.7.2 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance
to allow 110 square feet of freestanding signage, a
variance of 92 square feet; to replace an existing
freestanding sign (same location) to be located 2 feet
from the right-of-way, a variance of 148 feet; to allow
the height of this freestanding sign to be 25 feet, a
variance of 15 feet; and to allow 2 freestanding signs,
a variance of one (1) sign.
A public hearing will be held by the Board of Zoning Appeals on
November 14, 1989, at 3:00 P.M. , in Meeting Room #7, Second Floor,
County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Va.
This application is made available for your review in the Albemarle
County Zoning Office, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Va.
