Proposed Addition to Single Family Dwelling
Dear Mr. Hoerman:
Please be advised that our office has reviewed your request
for the above referenced building permit. The Albemarle County
Zoning Ordinance requires a building setback of 75 feet from
any right-of-way. It appears that your proposed addition will
be too close to the right-of-way of Route 610. Although this
parcel is nonconforming you are required to meet current setbacks.
In order to resolve this matter you will need to either locate
the addition so that required setbacks are met or obtain a
variance from the Albemarle County Board of Zoning Appeals.
Enclosed please find information regarding the variance process
along with an application and filing schedule.
Please contact this office at your earliest convenience to let
us know how you plan to proceed.
