Enclosed please find two placards which should be posted on the subject property as soon as possible so as to be visible from a public road. Mr. Gieck has already taken a bulldozer and cut parts of old Rt. 53 and cut in a driveway to his property. After I complained about the mud, he had gravel put in over old Rt. 53 to the new driveway, and graveled the new driveway. However, he did not put a large enough drain under the driveway and the rain water washes down the road towards my house. The gravel I put in on my property has been washed away by this water and my driveway has been left with his mud, holes, and the ditch on the side of the road has been filled in with dirt and debris. I am opposed to this variance unless some action is taken to require Mr. Gieck to fix the drainage on his driveway and help me clean out the ditch along the side of the road to allow water to drain properly. I am unable to come to the meeting because of my wife's poor health. I would hope some arrangements can be made to remedy the drainage problem.
