Dear Ms. Nedostup:
We have reviewed all of your comments from July 25, 2019 and made the necessary revisions.
Please find our responses to the comments below in bold lettering.
CDD Inspections — Michael Dellinger:
1. Total spaces, 261, requires (8) accessible parking spaces, 2 are required to be van accessible.
Revise to meet minimum number and type of spaces.
The proposed/existing parking calculations have been revised to reflect the accurate parking
count. There are two (2) ADA parking spaces located near the existing fitness center that are
to remain. Please refer to the attached exhibit and email from Andrew Allison on 7/26/19.
2. Add the following note to the general notes page: Retaining walls greater than 3 feet height
require a separate building permit. Walls exceeding 4 feet in height require a stamped
engineering design also. Walls require inspections as outlined in the USBC.
Note has been added. See Albemarle County Engineering General Construction Notes, #10 on
Sheet C1.00 for additional information. Engineered retaining wall drawings were submitted
for review to Community Development on 7/8/19.

RE: Keswick Hall Additions and Site Improvements SDP-2018-16 Minor Site Plan Amendment
Dear Ms. Nedostup:
The following is a summary of changes reflected in the Minor Site Plan Amendment resubmission:
• Sheet C0.00: Total Post Development Parking Provided calculation has been revised to reflect an
accurate parking count and include the total number of ADA parking spaces within the area of
existing parking spaces to remain on the property.
• Sheet C1.00: Note #10 has been added per comment received from Michael Dellinger.
• Sheet C4.02: In order to better preserve the large existing trees, the bay or parking nearest Club
Drive has been revised to a 20 ft drive aisle with 10 ft wide parking spaces. This will reduce the
impact to the critical root zones allowing for trees to remain. Three (3) parallel parking spaces
have been proposed within this bay to further reduce impact to critical root zones. There was an
overall reduction in impervious cover in this area.
• Sheet C5.02: The grading plan was revised to reflect the latest layout in parking spaces & drive
aisle for the bay of parking nearest Club Drive. Inlet 142 was shifted south to avoid conflicts with
existing power lines. Overall drainage area to this inlet has not changed. Pipe capacity
calculations did not require revisions.
• Sheet C7.03: Profile STR142-STR102A has been revised to reflect the shift in the inlet location
accordingly.

The Community Development Department (CDD) now accepts the digital submission of development applications
through a new web based form. This feature is being implemented in an effort to provide a user-friendly method to
submit and resubmit Subdivision (SUB), Site Development Plan (SDP), Water Protection Ordinance (WPO) development
applications only.
To guide you through the digital submission process, we have provided Submittal Instructions on how to use this
Submission Form and some General Submission Guidelines. Please review both of these documents before making your
submission.

You have selected re -submission. If necessary, you will need to complete appropriate PDF application form(s).
■ For Site Development Plan re -submissions, no application or fee is required.
■ For Road Plan re -submissions, an application and fee are required and can be found here.
■ For all other Subdivision re -submissions, no application or fee is required.
■ For Water Protection Ordinance re -submissions, an application and fee are required and can be found here.
