Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
This letter is to notify you, as adjoining property owners, that
Margaret B. Martin (owner) , property described as Tax Map 29,
Parcel 45A, Zoned Rural Areas, has made application for VA-92-26,
requesting relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County Zoning
Ordinance, as follows:
Variance to reduce the side setback from 25 to 10 feet to
allow an existing mobile home to remain as built and a
variance to increase the density by reducing the acreage
required per dwelling unit from 2 to 1.
A public hearing will be held by the Board of Zoning Appeals on
August 11, 1992, at 3 :00 p.m. , in Meeting Room #7, Second Floor,
County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville,
Virginia.
This application is made available for your review in the Albemarle
County Zoning Office, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Virginia.

Dear Ms. Patterson:
We own TMP 29-49C and 29-50. During the growing season we run
a small herd of steers on Parcel 49C. From time to time we have
observed items of trash in our pasture very close to the mobile
home which is the subject of this request. Aside from being
unsightly this trash could cause injury or illness to our cattle.
We do not wish to be unneighborly and we do not oppose the
right of the applicant to maintain a mobile home on her property.
However, we strongly prefer that she abide by all the rules which
the County has adopted for the protection of adjoining landowners
in the Rural Areas.
For this reason we would like to see the mobile home moved
forward so that the minimum side yard of twenty-five feet is
achieved and we would like to have some screening (such as a row of
white pines) planted along the fence, all as provided for in
5.6.2(b) and (e) of the Zoning Ordinance.
Please see that this letter is also included with any
application for a variance which Mrs. Martin may make to the Board
of Zoning Appeals.
