Regarding: Completed Work at Fifth Street Station
To Whom it May Concern;
Conservation Services, Inc. has been contracted since 2015 for various
vegetation management and tree planting projects at the Fifth Street Station
development in Charlottesville, Va.
As of 5/l/2018 all contracted work for the project has been completed.
All invasive species treatments have been performed and completed in
designated areas. All identified planting areas/zones have been planted at the
coverage rates, spacings, and densities and with the species and types of plants
(plugs, bare -root seedlings, live stakes, etc...) specified in the plans and specs.
Based on what Conservation Services, Inc. has been contracted to do and
has accomplished, the Fifth Street Station Buffer Mitigation planting is complete.
In addition, in Spring of 2018 a preliminary scouting survey indicated
that in all of the areas a significant majority of the stems surveyed were growing
and healthy. Also, in most areas, native volunteer plants had become established,
further bolstering the density of native trees and shrubs in the planted areas.
The sole exception was in the small pond planting where survival did not
meet acceptable levels. That area is planned to be replanted in May 2018. Ce°(.I.
As the coordinator for this project, feel free to contact me (Rodney Nice)
with any questions you may have pertaining to this letter or the work performed.
Thank You.
