Dear Mr. Grady;
I submit this letter to declare my opposition to the proposed
changes for commercial use of property that is adjacent to my
property which is residential use. There has been commercial use
of the property already which has been disturbing to myself. I
am opposed to increases in noise level, cutting of trees,
lighting, buildings that impinge on property line, and highway
width changes. All these seemingly small variances disturb the
privacy and affect the well-being of residential inhabitants.
Two years ago, the Hydraulic Sand Company filed for a Variance.
I was opposed then and attended a Zoning Board Meeting to find
out that petition had been withdrawn. Recently, I have received
letters from the Department of Zoning dated December 21, 1992,
December 29, 1992, and January 4, 1993 requesting relief from
residential zoning requirements, with increasing addendums that
would affect adjacent residential properties. I hope the strategy
is not to wear down the opposition by repetition? i know my
neighbor, Mr. and Mrs. Morris, wrote a letter two years ago in
opposition to the Hydraulic Sand Company. Does their letter
still have meaning?
I understand that Mr. Swingle does not live on the property which
he has commercialized (leagally or not) . I am not in opposition
to one working out of his home if it does not disturb neighbors
repeatedly or continually. Temporary disturbances are tolerable.
The proposed changes are permanent and the Hydraulic Sand Company
Owners will be living remotely from the effects of their
commercialization.
The Board Meeting is scheduled for 3 :00 p.m. on January 26, 1993 .
The time is not good for working persons. I hope the time is
also not a strategy to minimize opposition. I would like thabe
p assured that the attorneys for the Hydraulic Sand Companyye my

nothing to do with the time of the Board Meeting. roho of

commercialization if I am not able to make the Board Meeting.
