SUB201800040 Drillers Lane Subdivision - Final Subdivision Plat
I was closing out the recently approved file for the above referenced subdivision plat and discovered an
important review comment was never fully addressed. Does Lot 1 have a primary and reserve drainfield on it
that serves building#801 and building#803? Please provide a surveyed exhibit or plat w/ your signed seal
verifying the location of the existing primary and reserve drainfield on Lot 1 that serves these existing
structures. If the lot does not contain this please provide soil work for VDH approval to get this proposed lot
into conformance. I will need this completed prior to approval of the final plat.

Attached are more detailed VDH comments that I received on Tuesday. It appears the only outstanding
comment which needs to be addressed for VDH approval is Lot 1, see below highlighted section.

Mr. Perez,
This is to follow-up on our phone conversation earlier today and your questions, above, in regard to my review
of the Drillers Lane Subdivision Plat.
LOT 2
The certification letter recently issued by this office is for a primary and 100%reserve drainfield areas, both
located on the proposed Lot 2 in the area indicated on the plat. While this area was evaluated and certified to
serve an office and receive up to 100 gallons/day, until the proposed use is specified in terms of numbers of
employees, shifts, customers, etc., I cannot state whether the certified area will have sufficient
capacity. Assuming the use will be an office(commercial), the actual septic system design will have to be
determined by a professional engineer.

I have been unable to determine from our files whether the location of primary and reserve drainfields for the
two existing office buildings (#411 and 413)arc located within the proposed boundaries for the lot. I suggest
these areas be identified and sut veyed ont the plat to confirm that they are located within the new lot
boundaries. 11

Based on scaled drawings on file, I am confident that the location of the primary and reserve drainfield areas
serving the residue will not be interfered with by the proposed new lot boundaries. All components of the
existing system and reserve areas will remain within the boundaries of the residue parcel.
CENTRAL WATER SYSTEM
The water system is approved for up to 13,200 gallons/day, of which they are currently only using about 1/3, so
unless the development of lot 2 will require huge amounts of water, no assessment or permitting will be
required by the Office of Drinking Water.

I received your letter on the above ref project confirming approval of Lot 2 (attached). Prior to final
subdivision plat approval I also need VDH approval on a few other items, as follows:
1) I need VDH approval verifying the new Lot 1 contains both a primary and reserve drainfield on the lot.
2) I need VDH approval verifying the new residue lot(22.684 acres) still contains both a primary and reserve
drainfield on the lot.
3) Verification or approval from VDH that the new building on Lot 2 will/can be adequately served by the
central system.
