Re: South Rivanna Water Treatment Plant
Observatory Mountain Water Treatment Plant
Dear Mr. Toch
Thank you for submitting the above referenced sketch plans for our files. As we previously
discussed, the Planning Department does not require any further submittals for approval of the
proposed improvements. Since no formal site plan has ever been submitted for either site, and
the fact that no parking or traffic circulation is being affected, the Planning Department is only
requiring sketch plans for information purposes only. The submissions that you have made
adequately satisfy such requirement. Therefore, please accept this letter as site plan approval for
the proposed improvements referenced in your May 27, 1999 letter(Attached). You may apply
for your building and construction permits at any time with the Department of Building Codes
and Zoning Services.
Please note that any further site improvements may warrant a complete site plan in accord with
all of the provisions of Section 32 of the Zoning Ordinance. If you should have any questions,
please do not hesitate to contact me.

Dear Mr.Morrisette:
Enclosed please find 2 sets (1 Mylar and 1 Black-Line) of site plans for the South
Rivanna and the Observatory Mountain Water Treatment Plants. We are providing
these plans for your files. Per our phone conversation on May 27, 1999,we understand
that a formal site plan submittal meeting zoning requirements is not required due to
the fact that the South Rivanna Water Treatment Plant Expansion Project will not
require additonal parking at either plant nor will it permanently affect traffic
circulation.
If there are any questions or if additional information is required, please do not hesitate
to call.
Sincerely,
