In addition to other research into the project, please see the revised review comments below: [14-409, 14-410] Coordination and extension of streets. Thank you for providing the approved VDOT SSAR Exception Request regarding the road design change of the proposed portion/extension of Jamestown Road. For the County to also accept the change in design, the applicant will need to provide to the County written evidence, in the form of emails, official letters, etc., that demonstrates that all attempts were made to secure necessary sight distance easements, which would have facilitated the throughway to the existing intersection of Jamestown Road and Claudius Court, from the owners of TMP 56D-D-1 and TMP 56D-D-2. [Update] After further discussion with the applicant and the County Attorney, an emergency accessway is acceptable in lieu of a through connection to Jamestown Road and will be required per Fire Rescue's comments. This improvement will require a written request to allow the private improvement, necessary for development, on County property and will need to be approved by the Board of Supervisors. Please work with the County Attorney to request this provision. 2. [Update] [14-409] Extension of streets. The proposed design of Jamestown Road will need to be extended and constructed to the abutting property line. 3. [14-410, 14-422] Labels. Provide the following labels and/or measurements on the plat. Add a label for lines denoting the "proposed right of way". b. Provide a curb to curb measurement for Agatha Ridge Lane. c. Add a label for "planting strip" area(s). d. [Update] Label the "emergency accessway" wherever this improvement is shown on the road plans. (Note: This notation will also be need to be shown on the subdivision plat.) 4. [14-317] Maintenance Agreement. Please be aware that a maintenance agreement will need to be provided with the final place specifying the ownership and responsibility for maintenance of improvements proposed within the 10' Sidewalk and Landscape Easement. See Section 14-317 for additional details. S. [Advisory Comment] Only the "Subdivision and Road Notes" Notes 1-11 were reviewed for this road plan application. No other subdivision or site plan related notes are approved with the approval of this plan.
