Justin,
I mentioned your proposal to the ARB today because I was concerned about the degree of difference between the constructed
townhouses and the proposed revised designs. I showed the ARB the approved and proposed elevations and asked if they
had any concerns or wanted to provide any informal comments. It was the consensus of the ARB that the revised townhouse
design was too different from the approved and constructed design to achieve a consistent appearance along the corridor.
The board indicted that the design should remain as originally approved, or it should be modified in a way that maintains a
compatible, consistent appearance as viewed from the EC. Internal blocks could have greater flexibility in design.
Thanks.
Margaret

Margaret—I just met with John and I think I.have a good understanding of the additional items I will be seeking approval
on they are listed below, I have also attached a list from the architect of the revisions that were made:
1. Removal of all hip roofs.
2. Removal of rear terrace options.
3. Change windows throughout from casement to double hung(we were able to find a DH window that matches
very closely in color to the casement).
4. Delete double doors at rear and change to twin windows. Delete aluminum cattle guard from deleted double
doors.
Looking at your submittal requirements I noticed #2 under amendments to architectural plans you)are requesting"one
set of material and color samples for all proposed materials."
In regards to the windows,do you want a physical sample? Would a color brochure or mock up showing the two
windows be better?
When have a moment please let me know what would be preferred. It appears that the 1/8" scaled drawings would
cover the submittal for the other changes. Is that right?
I will revise the application to reflect the appropriate information if we are on the same page. Again, I apologize for the
confusion initially.
Justin

Margaret, I apologize. I replaced the previous project manager and there are apparently some things I was unaware of,
after getting some background information I now understand my problem.
A couple years ago, prior to constructing the last two buildings(which were not subject to ARB)we made revisions to
the architectural plans. We have since completed the two buildings (they began about the time I took over this
project).
When I submitted the (previously revised) plans to you and requested that you review the brick revision I assumed that
you had seen the revisions that were previously made. It appears you have not.
That being said, I will need to submit for the full scope of the revisions. I have a document from the architect noting all
of the changes. I'm going to review that with John today and then I will go back and read the requirements checklist you
sent and begin gathering all the appropriate documentation.
I apologize for the confusion.

Justin,
Thank you for marking up the previously submitted color renderings to correspond to your proposed elevations. The
description you provided for your ARB proposal says that you want to revise the exteriors to adjust the bricked areas.
When I compare your proposed elevations to the previously approved ones, it looks like the changes are considerably
more than adjusting brick areas. It looks like roof features, window shapes, door details, and other elements have been
entirely deleted or greatly revised.Am I misunderstanding your proposal?
