GENERAL NOTES
1. Site information is derived from topographic survey dated January
1990. and site layout plan dated August 19. 1985, both as prepared by
B. Aubrey Huffman & Assoc. Ltd., Civil Engineering, Land Surveying and
Land Planning, Charlottesville, Virginia.
2. The location of existing utilities shown are only approximate.
The Contractor is responsible for notifying "Miss Utility" (1-600-552-
7001), and locating all underground lines and structures as required
by construction. Caution! Existing underground utility lines shall
be located prior to start of any site work.
3. The Contractor shall check all dimensions and conditions at the
job site and report all inconsistencies to the engineer and/or
architect.
4. Landscape materials shall be maintained in healthy condition.
Any materials that die shall be replaced. All disturbed areas which
do not receive pavement shall be seeded or otherwise stabilized in
accordance with Albemarle County Soil Erosion and Sedimentation
Control Ordinance.
5. All exterior lighting shall be mounted on the proposed building
and shall be directed so as not to disturb adjacent sites and streets.
6. Solid waste disposal shall be achieved with indoor storage and
private collection.
7. All new exterior walking surfaces shall be 4" thick concrete.
Pavement to be base of aggregate material size 21 or 21A compacted to
a depth of 6", with 1-1/2" S4 or S5.
8. Signage shall be mounted on the proposed building adjacent to
entrances to individual suites.
9. Variances from 20' setback for parking on an HC parcel adjacent
to an R-1 parcel, and encroachment into the 20' buffer zone between HC
TC.K MAP 'TG
and R-1 parcels have been applied for to the Board of Zoning Appeals.

1. Prior to commencement of any construction within any existing
public right-of-way, including connection to any existing road, a
permit for said construction shall be obtained from the Virginia
Department of Transportation (hereafter abbreviated V.D.O.T.).
2. All paving and drainage related material, and construction
methods shall conform to current specifications and standards of
V.D. O.T.. unless otherwise noted.
3. Erosion and siltation control measures shall be provided in
accordance with the approved erosion control plan and shall be
installed prior to any clearing, grading or other construction.
4. All slopes and disturbed areas are to be fertilized, seeded and
mulched. Maximum allowable fill or cut slope is 2:1. where
reasonably obtainable lesser slopes of 4:1 or better are to be
achieved.
5. All drainage inlets shall have a 2-inch local depression.
6. Paveidrip-rap or stabilization mat lined ditch may be required
When n the opinion of the Albemarle County Director of
Engineering, or his designee, it is deemed necessary in order to
stabilize a drainage channel.
3. All traffic control signs shall conform with the Virainia Manual
Lqr Uniform Traffic Control Devices, latest edition.
S. Unless otherwise not all concrete pipe shall be reinforced
concrete pipe - Class III.
9. All excavation for underground pipe installation must comply with
OSHA standards for the Construction Industry (29 CFR Part 1926).
We the undersigned developer (s) understand that approval of this plan
by the County of Albemarle does not necessarily indicate Virginia
Department of Transportation (VDOT) approval of the plan. Approval of
the plan by the County does not in any way relieve me of my
responsibility in obtaining final VDOT approval prior to the issuance
of building permits and/or certificates of occupancy.
