Regarding: Hogwaller Farm TMP 77-20
Dear Neighbor,
Shimp Engineering,,,P.C. invites you to attend a community meeting on Wednesday September 11, 2017
from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Clark Elementary 1000 Belmont Avenue.Hogwaller Farm will be a part of the agenda for
the regularly scheduled BCNA monthly meeting.
We plan to discuss the proposal to rezone an existing Light Industry(LI) district to Rural Areas (RA)to allow
agriculture, forestry, and fishery uses except as otherwise expressly provided. The Owner/Applicant would like
to use the parcel (77-20) and the adjacent city parcels(61-79, 61-79.16, 61-79.17, 61-79.18, 61-79.19, and 61-
79.20)to create a combined mixed use residential/agriculture area of approximately 8.46 acres. Intended to
predominantly be run by residents, the agricultural operation will also host a small market stall to sell
produce/crops.The novel combination of residential with agricultural use creates a unique and sustainable
model for the threshold between city and county.
Interested parties may send an email request to peter@shimp-engineering.com to view a copy of the proposal
prior to the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for nearby residents to receive information and ask
questions about the proposed project. We will answer questions about our proposal and County Staff will be in
attendance to answer questions about the review process.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
Justin Shimp, P.E.
