I'm including one of a cracked beam on the canopy that just happened in the last day. That thing really needs to come down before someone gets hurt. I don't suppose I could do that before the ARB meets? But there are about 13,000 pieces in play, and I just hadn't gotten there yet. But like I said, nothing in the original building is indicative of the 1940s,either anecdotally or in terms of construction. Construction dates in the County's real estate records are notoriously in error.Just wanted to check on the source. No,she didn't. I'll ask her again. I was rushing her and she had a backlog of clients. 2. Of course on the photos, I'm headed over there later today and will get them to you. As I mentioned, we had already begun excavation on the parking lot before I knew there even was an ARB.We used a "certified land disturber" and the footprint was small enough that we were in-bounds. So they tell me. 3. I got that 1925 date from the sellers, whose father was born in the apartment above and who died about six years ago, though I recently noted the county shows it as 1948. That's almost the same date as the house next-door that I bought — which was apparently built by their father— and based on the construction we see inside the store, there's just no way it was built in 1948. (To be boring,we're seeing chestnut wood with very few worm holes, and blight eradicated chestnut in the '20s and '30s, and it hasn't been widely available since. There's also some other stuff that dates it back considerably farther.) The age of the siding and roof is consistent with being built in the '20s.We had to remediate old gas tanks last year that were apparently last used in the late '50s. But I don't have much more than that to go on. What might have happened is that the building was built in'25, and the garage addition happened in'48.That was definitely added later. 6 4. We were going wiui 10 spaces, but I wanted an ADA-accessible space, and my designer looked up county code and said that one ADA space was needed for every six "regular" spaces. We weren't clear on whether that meant two if you had more than six, so we put two in, along with room to unload. The bigger drawings I submitted show that. But basically, you tell me what to do. It's still pretty limited parking, but it's better than the eyesore/danger of people parking right in front of the store. Let me know what else you have and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Did your designer ever respond about the to-scale elevation drawings? 2. Would it be possible for you to email me a recent photo or two of your store/property as viewed from the street? The Google street view image is no longer accurate. 3. Your project overview suggests the building was constructed in 1925. Is that date obtained from a deed search or other legal documentation? 4. The plans illustrating the new parking area show 8 parking spaces, but the handicap spaces are numbered 9 and 10. Are 10 spaces proposed? Thanks.
