Thank you for the signed and notarized road maintenance agreement. Please note that this agreement must be recorded with the plat. Also, please note that it is your responsibility to record both the plat and the maintenance agreement. The Community Development approval process does not include the recordation step. Your signed/approved original plat is ready for pickup at the front desk of Community Development. I have put both your name and Mr. Jamison's name on the pickup cover sheet, since I was uncertain which of you would pick up the plat. Please remember that the County is keeping the other signed/approved original of the plat for our records. Thanks, Paty Saternye Senior Planner Community Development Albemarle County 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, VA 22902 434-296-5832 ext.3250 psaternye@albemarle.org www.albemarle.org -----Original Message ----- From: David <davidvr@earthlink. net> Sent: Tuesday, November 12, 2019 3:17 PM To: Patricia Saternye <psaternye@albemarle.org> Subject: RE: Road Agreement SUB2017-217 CAUTION: This message originated outside the County of Albemarle email system. This can just be done with a pen and does not have to be in a typed. > * Sign the agreement > * Have the agreement notarized (of course at the same time you sign it). > Then, have the dated, signed and notarized document scanned and send me the scanned copy attached to an email. > Please note that the County Attorney's office revised the content and the formatting of the document as they found necessary. > Any revisions (other than the date, signature, and notarization mentioned above) would go against their comments and would necessitate additional review on their part. > Also, please note that the County Attorney's office specifically stated that the wording "asphalt -paved drive or a superior surface" must be used. > He pointed out that the code says that the agreement must "state that the improvement will be maintained to a standard that, at a minimum, ensures that it will remain in substantially the condition it was in when approved by the county if the improvement was installed prior to the agent signing the plat." > I apologize that I had not caught that and had thought you could specify "gravel or a superior surface". > But the County Attorney's office comments trumps anything I have stated in reference to this legal document. > Please let me know if you have any additional questions, but it is my hope that this will be an easy last step in this approval process. >Thanks, >Paty Saternye >Senior Planner >Community Development >[coaseal2 logo] >Albemarle County >401 McIntire Road >Charlottesville, VA 22902 >434-296-5832 ext.3250 >psaternye@albemarle.org<mailto:psaternye@albemarle.org> >www.albemarle.org<http://www.albemarle.org> >From: Patricia Saternye ><psaternye@albemarle.org<mailto:psaternye@albemarle.org>> >Sent: Thursday, October 24, 2019 10:09 AM >To: Brian Jamison ><BJamison@roudabush.com<mailto:BJamison@roudabush.com>> >Subject: RE: Road Agreement >Brian, > Good morning. > Thank you for the information. > That helps. >Paty Saternye >Senior Planner >Community Development >[coaseal2 logo] 3 >Albemarle County >401 McIntire Road >Charlottesville, VA 22902 >434-296-5832 ext.3250 >psaternye@albemarle.org<mailto:psaternye@albemarle.org> >www.albemarle.org<http://www.albemarle.org> >From: Brian Jamison ><BJamison@roudabush.com<mailto:BJamison@roudabush.com>> >Sent: Tuesday, October 22, 2019 10:53 AM >To: Patricia Saternye ><psaternye@albemarle.org<mailto:psaternye@albemarle.org>>; David van >Roijen <Davidvr@earthlink.net<mailto:Davidvr@earthlink.net>> >Subject: RE: Road Agreement >CAUTION: This message originated outside the County of Albemarle email system.
