DUNCAN Attorney at Law 412 East Jefferson Street telephone(434)979-8556 Charlottesville,Virginia 22902 April 21, 2017 Pat Sateryne Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, Virginia 22902 Re: Proposed gas station at Boyd Tavern Dear Ms. Sateryne: Given that the applicant desires to operate a modern commercial gas station, deli and L; convenience store in our rural area district that has no access to public water I have endeavored to determine the amount of water used by Tiger Fuel's existing gas stations/convenience stores/delis. Tiger fuel has three such businesses in Albemarle County. I will list the aggregate water usage and divide by three (3) to obtain an average monthly per site water use: The results are as follows: Month Total Water Use Use Divided by three (average monthly use Per site) February 2016 _ 284,000 gals.. 94,666.66 gals. March 2016 192,000 gals. 64,000 gals. April 2016 218,700 gals. 72,900 gals. May 2016 228,000 gals. 76,000 gals. June 2016. 195,600 gals. 65,200 gals. July 2016 194,000 gals. 64,666.66 gals. August 2016 212,900 gals. 70,966.66 gals. September 2016 176,400 gals. 58,800 gals. October 2016 236,000 gals. 78,666.66 gals. November 2016 155,300 gals. 51,766.66 gals. December 2016 - 227,500 gals. 75,833.33 gals. January 2017 211,200 gals. 70,400 gals. February 2017 184,000 gals. 61,400 gals. These numbers are publicly available in records maintained by Albemarle County. I have no reason to believe Albemarle County would inaccurately maintain its records. Before unleashing a commercial activity into our rural area, you should take cognizance of these facts. , Sincerely, /s/Gregory S. Duncan Gregory S. Duncan GSD/pd 1
