RE: ZMA2019000112231 Seminole Lane
Dear Mr. Gathright
The Albemarle County Planning Commission, at its meeting on December 17, 2019, by a vote of 6:0
recommended approval for ZMA201900011, 2231 Seminole Lane with proffer revision.
The revised Proffer #3 recommended by staff: Further clarify the proffer language so that certain
architectural elements will be provided along building walls visible from the Entrance Corridor. Suggested
language could be the following (or some variation thereof): "Architectural Design. Any new buildings
constructed on the property must be designed such that the wall facing Route 29 will serve as the primary
building facade, or the wall facing Route 29 must incorporate transparent windows and doors at a
minimum, and may also incorporate pilasters, recessed or projecting bays, or similar architectural elements
and will not be a single, undifferentiated plane."
