AS -BUILT NARRATIVE
THIS AS -BUILT WAS CREATED FOR THE 80% RELEASE OF THE STORMWATER
MANAGEMENT BOND FOR THE UNDERGROUND DETENTION SYSTEM. THIS
AS -BUILT ONLY SHOWS THE DETENTION SYSTEM DETAILS.
THE DETENTION SYSTEM WAS FIELD OBSERVED BY SHIMP ENGINEERING TO
HAVE BEEN BUILT PER PLAN. THE DETENTION SYSTEM WAS OBSERVED TO
HAVE ADEQUATE STONE BEDDING, ADEQUATE STONE BACKFILL, ADEQUATE
FILTER FABRIC WRAPPING, AND ADEQUATE PIPE INSTALLATION. SHIMP
COMPLETED A WALKTHROUGH OF THE INSTALLED DETENTION SYSTEM TO
CONFIRM THAT THE SYSTEM WAS SOILTIGHT AND IN GOOD CONDITION.

MATERIAL WAS PLACED IN 12" MAXIMUM LIFTS AND WAS WORKED INTO THE PIPE HAUNCHES BY MEANS OF SHOVEL -SLICING, RODDING, AND
VIBRATORY PLATE TAMPER.
8. 90% STANDARD PROCTOR IS ACHIEVED OR WHEN NO FURTHER YIELDING OF THE MATERIAL IS OBSERVED UNDER THE COMPACTOR OR UNDER
FOOT. THE PROJECT ENGINEER OR HIS REPRESENTATIVE MUST BE SATISFIED WITH THE LEVEL OF COMPACTION. BACKFILL WAS PLACED SUCH
GENERALLY EVENLY ALONG THE PIPES FOR CONSISTENT LOADING.
9. FINAL BACKFILL MATERIAL SELECTION ABOVE THE SPECIFIED STONE LAYER IS COMPACTED SOIL BACKFILL, MIN CBR=10, PER PARKING LOT
PAVEMENT DESIGN SECTION IN THE PANTOPS CORNER SITE PLAN.
