The erosion and sediment control plan for Old Trail Sanitary Sewer-Slabtown Expansion has
received engineering review. Engineering may be able to approve the E&SC plan after the
following items are adequately addressed:
1. Copies of temporary grading easements and or letters of intent are requested.
2. Please move the wire supported silt fence out of Slabtown branch.
3. Add a note to the plan and narrative: "Wire -supported silt fence will be installed at least 5
feet from top of bank unless approved by the County Water Protection Inspector."
4. Narrative states excavated material to be hauled to a location on plans. Please show these
locations on the plans as stated.
5. Narrative states topsoil stockpiles will be located on site. Please show the location of the
stockpiles on the plan sheets.
6. Add the following note to the plan and narrative: "Should the temporary construction
entrance not be maintained properly or an excessive amount of soil found tracked onto
the public roadway, then a paved construction entrance, water tanker truck with 2
pressure washers and a settling area may be required by the erosion and sediment control
program administrator."
7. Temporary Construction Entrances less than the minimum dimensions will require a
waiver from the program administrator. Please try to design the construction entrances to
standards before formally requesting a waiver form the program administrator.
8. Temporary Construction entrance on page 6 appears to be directly over the proposed
work. Please clarify how access and construction will occur in this location.
9. Please supply copies of all applicable permits including but not limited to the following:
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, DEQ, VPDES and U.S. Marine Permit. Grading permit
will not be issued until proof is submitted that all applicable agencies have either
approved or waved permit requirements for this site.
10. Just a reminder, DCR is enforcing the VSMP General Permit Registration Statement.
Please contact Mr. Matthew Grant, DCR, at 804.225.3068 for more information. This
does not affect your review/approval of this plan.
