The following letter is being issued:in response to the plans review comments dated June
18th, 2019 and email comments generated the week of July 12th,2019 for the above
referenced project.
• Staff letter June 18th '
- Revise the architectural design to more successfully use architectural forms and
features to reflect the historic:architecture:of the area, particularly on the north :
and west elevations. Providing consistently designed tower elements at each.
corner may be appropriate.
Towers shown at all:four corners.
Revise the architectural drawings:to include:information showing that the depth
and detailing of the architectural:elements will result in features with an authentic
appearance.. . .

Still would like to get some definition regarding material and profile of the coping
On the towers. Also,what is white band at.towers?
Material terial of coping to.be EIFS: White band to be EIFS applied to face of
brick.

Greater relief between tower forms and-the':body of the building would be more
appropriate:. .

Consider including infilled'recessed masonry openings in base:of building at
corners to match those corners with windows.

- The character and quality of the proposed brick and block and mortar selection
will influence the success of the approach. Provide samples for review.

- Is the eastern elevation visible from the EC? Provide a view to illustrate visibility.
