Thanks, Rebecca — we have reviewed the aerials, which really are not helpful — you cannot really see anything from that era and the tree canopy in that area, including in the gully where the 4 cottages, is too thick. As for the documentation you found from the 1970s —the cottages were already constructed at that time. What you are seeing is Sheriff Bailey's after the fact attempt to get the existing cottages properly permitted. In other words, the cottages were already in existence - as reflected in the county property records and in all the affidavits we presented — at the time Sheriff Bailey decided to submit these documents to the County. We have reviewed the affidavits along with looking at County records and historic aerials. While the real estate records indicated a year built of 1960 for the structures, that can sometimes be inaccurate so I was looking for other information to confirm the year built for each structure. In doing so, I found site plan (1975) and subdivision files (1976) related to the structures and parcels. File numbers and links to the documents can be found below. snPnnnnnnmR c.1iRnnnnnnn44 In researching building permits and certificates of occupancy, we found two COs, one from 1975 that appears to be for one of the rental cottages.
