This is your Written Warning in accordance with § 17-900 of the Water Protection Ordinance of
Albemarle County and Section 62.1-44.15:37 of the Virginia Stormwater Management Act.
This Written Warning is being issued because of the following deficiencies:
Deficiency: Areas of slope not stabilized
Corrective Action: Stabilize as needed to ensure adequate protection
Deficiency: Large areas of non stabilized disturbed ground observed
Corrective Action: Stabilize as required
Deficiency: Stormwater conveyance channels observed to be in need of stabilizing and cleared of
debris.(flow path of trap blocked by landscape debris.)
Corrective Action: Maintain and stabilize with seed and straw mat to inhibit erosion. Keep free of debris.
Deficiency: Traps have debris in them(cut logs), side slopes not stabilized, inlet ditches not stabilized,
weirs filled with debris
Corrective Action: Maintain, stabilize,and clean out all traps.
Deficiency: Large areas not contained by silt fence or seed and straw mat
Corrective Action: Install seed and straw mat to create a vegetative cover, protect the with silt fence.
Deficiency: Traps need to be maintained and stabilized
Corrective Action: Correct to minimum specifications set by the VESCH manual.
Deficiency: Channels observed to be missing proper lining, check dams are over run with sediment and
no longer effective,
Corrective Action: Stabilize channels, clear sediment from check dams, grade erosion rills from bottom
Deficiency: Maintenance of installed measures needed
Corrective Action: Maintain approved controls, ensure all controls are at a minimum functional level,

Failure to comply by the required date may subject the owner to penalties and remedies as listed
under § 17-900 et -al of the Water Protection Ordinance of the Albemarle County Code.
Should you have a legitimate reason you cannot complete your required corrections by the
above given date, you must immediately contact your erosion control inspector. Unless you
have contacted the inspector and agreed to alternative arrangements, all compliance work is
expected to be completed by the above date.
