Mr. Clarke - I have completed my review of your above -noted ARB sign application. The following revisions are
requested to make this sign proposal consistent with Entrance Corridor Sign Guidelines and approved Comprehensive
Sign Criteria for the Gardens Shopping Center (attached).
1. Approved Comprehensive Sign Criteria require that text and graphic colors be either brass, bronze, black, dark
brown or gold. Revise the sign drawing to include text indicating all text and graphics shall be gold color and the
background black.
2. Approved Comprehensive Sign Criteria require that this sign be a panel type sign mounted to the wall. Revise the
sign drawing to include text indicating a panel sign type and the proposed material for both the panel and the
sign.
3. Entrance Corridor Sign Criteria require that the sign not overcrowd the wall, suggesting that a minimum of 6" of
wall area should show (frame) the sign on all sides. Revise the sign drawing to show the distance of brick wall area
showing below the sign and above the sign. A minimum of 6" is considered appropriate.
4. Revise the sign drawing with notation clearly indicating the sign is to be non -illuminated. Any future illumination
of the sign would require ARB review and approval.
5. Include a latest revision date on the sign drawing for these requested revisions.
Please respond by email within 15 days of the date of this email indicating whether you will or will not proceed with these
revisions. Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60-day review period associated with your original
submittal. If you choose to complete the revisions, please email the revised drawings to me so we can wrap this up quickly.
If you choose not to proceed with these revisions, staff will be unable to approve your application. Failure to respond to
this letter shall be presumed to be a request to proceed to action on the application without further revisions.
If you have any questions about this action, please contact me as soon as possible.
