RE: SP 2005-00013 Hollymead Swim Club - Tax Map 46B2 Parcel
Dear Mr. Smith:
On September 7, 2005, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors took action on SP 2005-00013
request for special use permit for swim, golf, tennis, or similar facilities to allow membership to the
swimming pool from outside of the Hollymead Planned Unit Development (PUD) in accordance with
Sections 20.4.2.1, 22.2.2.6, 18.2.2.4 and 5.1.16 of the Zoning Ordinance which allow for swim, golf,
tennis and similar facilities in the Rivanna Magisterial District. This special use permit was approved
based on the following conditions:
1. Family memberships, including residents of the Hollymead PUD, shall not exceed 466.
2. Prior to the issuance of a Zoning Clearance for the commercial swim club, the applicant shall
provide sight distance at the entrance/exit to the property onto Hollymead Drive to the satisfaction
of the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Please be advised that although the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors took action on the
project noted above, no uses on the property as approved above may lawfully begin until all
applicable approvals have been received and conditions have been met. This includes:
compliance with conditions of the SPECIAL USE PERMIT; and
approval of a ZONING COMPLIANCE CLEARANCE.
In the event that the use, structure or activity for which this special use permit is issued is not commenced
within twenty-four (24) months from the date of Board approval, it shall be deemed abandoned and the
permit terminated. The term "commenced" means "construction of any structure necessary to the use of
the permit."
