Access to the site would be provided via a full movement entrance on Route 20 which would align with Winding River Lane and a full movement access point on US Route 250 which would align with the BMW driveway. This AM-E is for the Route 20 access point. VDOT District: Culpepper Area Land Use Engineer: Adam J. Moore, PE NOTES: (1). Submit this form and any attachments to one of the Districts Area Land Use Engineers. (2). See Section 120 of the Regulations for details an the requirements, exceptions, and exception request review process. (3). Attach additional Information as necessary to justify the exception request(s). (4). if a traffic engineering study is required, the decision on the request will be based on VDOT engineering judgment. (5). The Route 20 entrance must include right and left turn lanes with dimensions meeting current standards. 2. The Route 250 entrance is permitted as only a right-in/right-out entrance that must include a right turn lane with dimensions meeting current standards. The Residency recommends approval of the Route 250 entrance with the condition that all left turn movements are physically restricted and a right turn lane with dimensions meeting current standards are provided. These recommendations are consistent with the 2004 VDOT study of the Route 250 corridor that recommended center median and continuous right turn lanes.
