Mr. Sprouse,
The Special Use Permit application received in the Department of Community Development on 6/1/2020 has been
deemed complete for processing by County staff. The applicant must now pay the required fee for this application to be
further processed for review.
The total fee required for SP2020-00011 is $973.00 (An application fee of $538.00 and a Public notice fee of 435)
Please see below on paying fees.
There are a few items we will need before we can complete our review and schedule the item for the BZA:
Confirm number of bundle signs- While there is information in the submittal that shows a potential bundle sign
on Tax Map Parcel 78-5B, your request is only for the bundle sign on TMP 78-5E? Please confirm.
2. Owner Authorization- The owner of TMP 78-5E according to our tax records is Pantops Corner LC however, Ryan
previously drafted a SP application that indicated Pantops Self Storage LLC was the owner of the parcel
(attached). Please confirm current ownership and provide documentation you are authorized to act on behalf of
the owner. The SP application was signed by Rebkee Partners Pantops LLC. Alternatively, you may submit the
certification that notice has been provided to the landowner form.
3. Sign application- I had previously indicated we need the following to be submitted concurrently with the SP
application. We have not received a sign application package. All items in Section A are required. In order to
stay on schedule, a complete sign permit package must be received no later than June 22.
We will need a complete sign permit application, and fees along with the special use permit application.
Following the sign permit checklist will ensure we have all the additional items we need to review the special use
permit application, including those things we talked about this morning (below).
Design parameters for tenant panels (color, materials, etc.)
Copy of the latest site plan or survey of the proposed sign location on the self -storage site
4. Sign Location exhibit -Based on the sign easement plat, it appears the sign area is not included in the private
street easement. The sign application checklist requires the following for review of a sign permit (below). The
exhibit that is provided is insufficient to determine that the sign will not conflict with easements and meeting
the required 5' setback from the edge of the private street easement, Given the constraints of the location, the
exhibit should be prepared by a land surveyor.
❑ Site plan or latest approved plat showing, to scale, the proposed location of the sign(s) with dimensions.
❑ Distance from the sign to the property lines and/or edge of the VDOT right-of-way.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Please make payment as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, June 19, 2020.
The preferred option is to make payment via the online payments site HERE. Please follow the directions to
email your receipt of payment to cddpayments@albemarle.org so the application can be processed
promptly.
A check provided to the front office staff in the Department of Community Development for the amount
noted above, payable to the "County of Albemarle."
If this fee is received after Friday, June 19'h, then your application will be processed with the next applicable round
of application submittals. Submittal Schedule ***
ADDITIONAL FEES MAY BE REQUIRED.
A fee for re -advertisement and notification of public hearing after advertisement of a public hearing and deferral is
made at the applicant's request.
*** Please note that if the application fee is not paid within six months of the application being deemed
complete, then this application will be deemed withdrawn, and all material will either be returned to the
applicant or recycled. ***

Good Morning Rebecca. I meant to follow up with you yesterday to make sure you received our package for the
proposed bundle sign along Rt 20 for Wawa, Storage Sense, and future user at Pantops Corner Way Development? We
sent via UPS for delivery Monday morning. The shipment tracker said it was delivered but just making sure.
We want to be able to have the hearing on August W . Please let Ryan Perkins or I know if any additional information is
needed from us.
