Katurah, thanks for your patience. Current bond amount =ordinal bond amount: $109,140. Thanks for 4/20/20 Underhill
Engineering document.
• Based on work complete, information received, and 4/20/20 Underhill Engineering report, Albemarle can reduce the
bond, but there are several issues, primarily:
• Need for additional items (listed, below). Ref. attached inspection checklist.
Although I've not used check boxes to indicate if item received (Y/N), highlight items have not been received, unless
overlooked, or additional information is needed.
• Please review highlight items, discuss subgrade checks with Underhill, and furnish what is possible, as soon as
possible. Otherwise, reduction will be less than maximum.
• Please review As -built item; revision requested: provide or label design section stone /asphalt depths; revise base stone
depth to 9"-11" (VDOT 21A).
• If all items received, especially pipe video /additional subgrade data for each alley, then few repair items remain.
(Limited concrete replacement /photos, below —SITE ITEMS)
• I have not marked concrete curb sections for repair. Prior to marking, I hope to meet on -site and am available Fri, 29-
May, to review what needs to be done.
• 11/20/18 Schnabel Engineering concrete test report indicates adequate compressive strength.
• Repair relates to damage during construction, and quality required for acceptance.
• Limited sections require replacement. We value your perspective.
• Storm pipe video is required.
• Please let me know if this (or any other highlight item) has been submitted, and overlooked.
( Note: Field density summary reports list compaction >100%; without implying there is an issue, may reach out to Susan E.
Ray, Geotechnical Engineer /Underhill Engineering to discuss these values.)
Items needed:
1. Letter from P.E. certifying improvements to date are built to plan
2. Current certification form completed by owner /developer. Use link to form (please complete and return /email):

3. Additional subgrade compaction information: areas under alleys.

a. Design alley section, or label design stone /asphalt depth
b. 9"-11" VDOT 21 stone*

5. Storm pipe video
SITE ITEMS
6. Concrete repair
7. Site clean-up required
8. Storm inlet clean -out required
9. Check CG-12 ramp ( last photo)

I will try to get to the HTC Area C, block VI information that Kate sent by Thursday. I am checking on block IV status (sent
email in late March recommending SUB201400101 road plan bond release —will let you know as soon as I have an update). I

Hello John,
I wanted to follow up on this submittal from the engineering firm that
observed the construction and filed these reports for HTC 6. Also, I
requested the release of Block 4 final paving that has been completed for
some time, as you remember, you were going to release this before but
reminded you we still needed the final surface. Please give me an update
on both of these requests. I will be submitting the bond release for
Water & Sewer as that is now complete and Jeremy has sent a letter that
it is done and I no further obligations.
