RE: Response Letter #3 for SDP201800040 Hunters Way -Major SPA — Engineering
Dear David,
Thank you for your review of the Final Site Plan for Hunters Way -Major SPA. This letter contains
responses to County comments dated May 8, 2020. Please note only your comments that were not
previously addressed are listed in this letter. Our responses are as follows:
WPO plan/amendment must be approved before site plan amendment is approved.
Acknowledged - WPO2016-52 amendment. (Rev.2/3) Comment still valid..
Revised VSMP submittal forthcoming, comment noted.
15. The Private well & septic system may warrant further review and inspection (DSM, Sect.2). (Rev.112)
TBD. Frank P. (Rev.3) VDH will review.
Noted, we have added a signature block line for VDH.
21. The (Rev.1) Provide minimum 3" orifice. (Rev.2) Not addressed. (Rev.3) Acknowledged.
Engineering recommends a larger orifice because this will become a maintenance issue.
Noted, we do not prefer this small size but the trash rack will offset clogging, and the inspection
frequency requirement on the VSMP plan should mitigate any trouble.
23. (Rev.2) Critical slope areas shown do not quite match those on the County's GIS overlay. (Rev.3)
TBD. Frank P. is reviewing critical slope waiver.
Critical slopes waiver was approved. See notes on cover sheet.
25. daff (Rev.2) Sheet C4 —
a. Disturbance to critical slopes is not allowed. f 18-4.21
(Rev.3) TBD. Frank Pds reviewing critical slope waiver. If a retaining wall is required than wall
comments might still apply.
Critical slopes waiver was approved. See notes on cover sheet.
b. Callout grate inlet structure type.
(Rev.3) DI-7 not recommended, recommend side inlet. [DSM, pg.18]
Nyloplast Combo Curb inlet used for Structure 4 in drive-thru lane (will be far less obtrusive to
wheels). Nyloplast Grate inlet used for Structure 3 instead (less obtrusive). Details added to C8.

27. (Rev.3) Sheet C5 - Show the low -maintenance ground cover plantings for proposed areas where
grading over 3:1 proposed.
Low maintenance ground cover shown on C5. It is a wildflower mix.
28. (Rev.3) Show SWM design table/worksheet.
This is a VSMP Plan requirement and will be shown on the VSMP plan. We do not put SWM
calcs on site plans.
29. (Rev.3) Show roof drains and where they outlet_
Roof Drain downspout locations shown and labeled on C4.
